Join us at the _gaia gallery Friday August 5th for our monthly exhibition. This month we are featuring work by Roxana Marroquin in ENTER THE CAMERA OBSCURA
Long before the inception of photography, it was discovered that in a completely dark (obscura) room (camera) if there was a small hole on one one side, an inverted image would be projected on the opposite wall of the room. This led to the invention of the first camera, the pinhole camera. Taking this simple concept and origin of photography, Roxana Marroquin has turned the _gaia Gallery into a pinhole camera and will be exhibiting the photographs during _gaia’s first Friday of the month exhibit.
