What’s that saying? Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he’ll eat for a lifetime…or something like that. Well, my best friend just taught me how to fish a video…make a fish…make a video! I’d never made one before embarking on this project, but I had a clear vision of what I wanted. Rosie Jablonsky, a film school alum, and my dear friend since literally the day I was born, flew in from Minneapolis to help me. We spent a week frantically taping and editing “The Lost Art of Washing Dishes.” I was in awe of her skill and knowledge–and her patience with me!
I filmed material for two more videos after she left. This week I finished editing one all by myself (thank goodness I filmed last week before I this head cold made me all puffy and red-nosed)! And I’m happy with the result. Thanks for teaching me to fish, Rosie! And thank you to The Learning Agency for helping me refine my fisherwoman skills.
p.s. when what you make is neither on film nor a video tape, but only a computer, what’s it called?
