Let me first say, first I HATE FLYING, second I HATE FLYING ALONE!
First flying experience was when I was very young, maybe 5 or 6. We flew half an hour on a tiny, old, creaky 15 seat plane from Hyannis to Nantucket. TERRIFYING!
Second flying experience was when I was 15, 5 months after my father passed away. I was spending spring break in Florida with my mother and her boyfriend. I couldn’t stand the sight of my mother with this man (even though my father and my mother had been divorced before my earliest memory). So my mother allowed me to fly back to NJ, BY MYSELF, to spend the rest of the spring break with my best friend’s family. First time flying alone, second time flying in my life.
Third flying experience, I was invited by my former grade-school teacher to take a trip to Italy for two weeks with a large group of his former students. Third time flying, and I was on a plane for 10+ hours.
The list goes on with bad flying experience, including the time I flew right after the plane crash in Buffalo, NY, and jetblue conveniently had TV screens in the back of every seat with almost every station reporting about “what went wrong”.
TO SUM UP… I’m terrified but I know it’s going to be worth it.
Luckily, I hate flying but I love packing suitcases! My best friend says I’m the best packer she’s ever seen so I decided to document my packing fun!
My bags were so packed that I won’t be able to bring back any souvenirs!
p.s. I tried to finalize and post this at the airport but the airport internet sucked.. so sorry that it’s a little late! Another update to come!
