My project is evolving from the original proposal, which I’ve just posted as reference. So I’ve hit a little wall/fork path and have come up with these two options:
1. To stick with the edited footage of JA saying the EF quote, and have it be projected in a darkened room on a wall, appearing and disappearing like the cheshier cat.
2. Remove the Erich Fromm quote out of the body of the piece itself and into the title-text-context-inspiration part of the work. Project an original speach/talk by Julian Assange (addressing freedom of the press issues on TED or in a peace conference in Oslo) onto the inside of a transparent punching bag, lightting it from the inside.
