our city dreams

I went to see Our City Dreams by Chiara Clemente which is playing at the Film Forum for one more day. It portrays five highly accomplished women artists, aged 30-80, and New York City as feminine.
It is a beautiful film and a fine contribution. I really liked the way it pictured each woman’s process and art works and getting to see some things I would otherwise have missed. Linda Cummings and I watched it and appreciated the impact of what we do and love as children on what we make as artists. For example, Swoon’s raft down the Mississippi is an very joyful group adventure.
