Here are the two layouts I am thinking of using for my family tree piece.
Each member of the family is represented by the geographical shape of the city or town they live in (cut out of mdf) . Mom and Dad are living in the same town, so they share the shape of Galliano, LA. Each family member’s bill containing the portrait and spice specific to that family member will be hung on the corresponding city/town shape (yeay, signifiers!).
The third image here is the wallpaper I will be using to cover each family member city/town shape, and presently I am thinking that one bill each will be appropriate.
I’m thinking of using nylon thread or mono filament that I will color red as the connection or bracket line and also contemplating whether or not I want to write/type/paint quotations of or stories about money from each family member next to their city/town shape. I’m not sure that they are necessary.
I’m planning on the overall width to be no more than 4 feet and the height will depend on which layout I choose… and I need to come up with a title.
