For the “new media” part of my project I want to have an area called “What’s on the Tapes?” with a few computers to watch the videos or a reel and access a blogspot I am also going to create. The blogspot will have links to the videos (they are free online) so people can leave comments on them or the role of media in newsmaking in general. I was also going to look at getting one of those codes you scan into your phone so you can be taken there instantly. I’ll have video summaries there for people to read and a book for comments I can enter into the blogspot later for people that don’t blog.
In the second picture below I laid out the dimensions of monolith vs. casket. They are similar but the casket has more depth and the monolith is wider. Still thinking about both but leaning more towards the casket idea. Would like to start on the metal frame next week.
