The 5 salt slabs and ice will be placed on the floor with chunks of salt slab and smaller pieces placed around the main stack. I think this set up will visually imply a transformation: it looks as though something has/ is happening.

I’ve assembled a collection of experiment pieces. Rocks, crystals, and films of salt. This collection will be placed on a pedestal and covered in a clear plexiglass display cube and stand a distance from the salt and ice on floor. The surface of the pedestal will be covered in a cotton fabric like a muslin or osnaburg (pictured above).
