I am also planning on developing a drawing or two.  Here are sketch images of those:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Scituate\" id=\"image71\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gaiastudio.org\/wonderwomen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/04\/scituate.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Abandoned\" id=\"image72\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gaiastudio.org\/wonderwomen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/04\/abandoned.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In terms of my statement, I am working on something regarding the historical metaphor of Ships of State.\u00c2\u00a0 This is an old term dating back to ancient texts by Horace.\u00c2\u00a0 It has also been used all the way up until now.\u00c2\u00a0 I am terribly interested in the metaphor and am also looking into what it means to be a spectator of shipwrecks as well.\u00c2\u00a0 Here are the readings I&#8217;m researching:<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/mitpress.mit.edu\/catalog\/item\/default.asp?ttype=2&#038;tid=4819\">Shipwreck with Spectator<\/a>, Hans Blumenberg<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/yalepress.yale.edu\/YupBooks\/reviews.asp?isbn=0300088175\">Ship of State<\/a>, Norma Thompson<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Influence_of_Sea_Power_upon_History\">The Influence of Sea Power Upon History<\/a>, A. T.
