I posted the images of the wallpaper I am working in the “wallpaper” post, but I need to explain myself a bit more, a new post is in order.\u00c2\u00a0 I am not sure if I publicly announced that the Jersey City Library rejected my proposal, but it got me thinking about the fact that libraries have really changed. They are no longer “safe” public spaces, I say safe, because nowadays, you are watched at the library, there is no privacy. Since the inception of the patriot act, libraries are expected to report anything suspicious which includes everything from the books that people check out to whether they look dangerous. The government can access the computer systems in a heartbeat, this includes your personal email if you are sitting at a computer station, the websites you are surfing etc. This is better stated at the ALA website.

This obviously relates to my project, but I am not sure if it is central enough for me to use the patriot act as my wallpaper. I am trying to build the argument for it. I have not printed this out yet,\u00c2\u00a0 but here is a sample. Another question, if I go with this idea do I need to use the whole patriot act. The entire thing is over 200 pages, so that may be difficult. One more thing, would this visually take over the space, is it too loud, too bold etc.? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
\nOn another note…good news is the library of congress responded and they will give me a copy of the 60,000 books with “war” in the title at no charge.<\/p>\n
