{"id":444,"date":"2008-02-12T16:44:53","date_gmt":"2008-02-13T00:44:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gaiastudio.org\/wonderwomen\/?p=444"},"modified":"2008-02-12T16:44:53","modified_gmt":"2008-02-13T00:44:53","slug":"words-and-pictures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gaiastudio.org\/wonderwomen\/?p=444","title":{"rendered":"Words and Pictures"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>my latest thoughts on text: a one page statement of a few paragraphs about the political\/social environment during the time the women were photographed, framed within a brief historical context. then for captions, i am thinking about putting the first name of each woman and a small description. for example:<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Bronaugh, Equality Commissioner.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d or \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Catholic and Protestant women meet in secrecy at the Quaker House, Belfast.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153May Blood (i think her last name is needed), House of Lords, London.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Jane, outside Stormant Building, Belfast.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d hmmm\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6..perhaps last names need to be there\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6it&#8217;s either all just first names or all first and last.<br \/>\nthen i could put a small book on the side that has a more lengthy detailed description and a possible quote of each woman and her image next to it.<\/p>\n<p>my concern is that the captions i showed last week are too wordy to be placed on the wall next to the picture. on the other hand, their stories give a better understanding of who they are.
